Meet Our New Miss Davis County Outstanding Teen!

We are pleased to introduce our new Miss Davis County Outstanding Teen Alex Salimbene!!

Here is a little about our amazing new title holder!

Favorite Color?: Blue

Favorite Book?: A thousand Splendid Sun

The first trip you ever took? I'm not exactly sure what the first trip I ever took was, but one of my earliest vacation memories was when my family and I went to Italy for a friend's wedding. I had so much fun! I  just remember thousands and thousands pigeons that would land on my shoulder and everyday we would go to a different gelato stand. I also remember seeing living statues in the street and even though I didn't understand a word they said, I still made some pretty great friends!
What is your secret pleasure?

My secret pleasure would probably have to be Oreos...they are definitely my biggest weakness!
What was your favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood experience is the time when I brought a stray cat home from Kindergarten and eventually convinced my mom to let me keep it! She was scraggly, dirty, and very skinny which is why we were all extremely surprised a few days later when she gave birth to three kittens. I LOVED caring for those babies and I still have pictures of them in my room!
What do you wish to accomplish in life?

Some of the things I hope to accomplish are finishing college and becoming a vet with an animal rescue center. I hope to help kids find hidden musical talents and to volunteer for programs that are in  need such as the red cross and other amazing organizations.
